Note to JANES

Dear JANES,

We are gearing up for the next season of JANES and I am so excited about the opportunities that God has laid before us. Mark your calendars for the JANES Expo, coming September 20-21. This is our annual showcase of the ministries that we will offer and we can't wait for you to see what's coming up!

On a personal note, the seasons in my life are changing as well. This month I will have the privilege of becoming a mother-in-law to the most precious girl. She has been a part of our family for about 4 years now and I can't believe she will soon be officially ours! I have been reading in the book of Ruth quite a bit lately and God has revealed His Word to me from a fresh perspective. I've always related more to Ruth's circumstances and Naomi, Ruth's mother-in-law, has been more of a supporting actress. But now that I am about to gain a daughter-in-love, Naomi has taken center stage. I have a new responsibility now and my desire is that, like Naomi, the life I live would always point to the Lord I love.

I'm not sure what season you're in, but I know that God's Word is alive and active and He will speak to you exactly where you're at. As summer comes to an end and you reflect on all that God has done in the last few months, I pray that you can see how He has accomplished His purposes in and through your life. He is faithful and I know that He has great plans for you, in this season and the ones to come!

We are still on for our Summer Escape, but in the event that we have to cancel due to inclement weather, we will post it on the blog and send out an email by 11 AM on Wednesday. Dolly may be trying to interfere with our fabulous plans, but we're praying for God to clear the way! Feel free to call the church office if you have any questions. Summer Escape!

Hey JANES!
We are so excited to offer a summer refresher that will be loads of fun. Join us for some rest and relaxation while we hang out in the BAF Atrium with some old friends and meet some new ones. Jessica Cornelius will be sharing an inspiring message with us and the JANES ministry has some very exciting upcoming events to share with you!

If you are ready for a Girls' Night Out, please join us for a gathering open to all women, sure to be filled with fun, laughter, food and opportunities to connect with other Bay Area women. Bring a friend and introduce them to an exciting night with JANES. We'll have some refreshments waiting for you when you arrive!

Childcare will be available, but registration is required. Please email Virginia at mrsvdjames@yahoo.com and let her know how many children you will be bringing and what ages they are.

Hello JANES!

I am so excited to invite you to our Summer Escape that JANES is hosting this month! Jessica Cornelius will be speaking to us and you guys are in for a real treat! Jessica has such a heart for the women of BAF and we are looking forward to hearing what she wants to share with JANES. Please join us Wednesday, July 23rd at 6:30 PM in the BAF Atrium as we are refreshed by God's word and strengthened by the sweet fellowship of other women.

We have wrapped up another season of ministry and many of our leaders are taking a well-deserved break for the summer months. I just want to say THANK YOU to all of our leaders who have been so faithful to the Lord and to the women of BAF. It is a beautiful thing to watch women step into their unique giftedness and serve the Lord with the talents He has given them. JANES is an amazing ministry made up of remarkable women, but it wouldn't be what it is without the army of courageous and faith-filled women who are not afraid to step out of their comfort zone. You are appreciated and the canvas of JANES is truly a masterpiece because of your individual contributions and servanthood!
